Well this is the embarrassing part! Who am I?

My name is Lloyd French. I come from a family of Gamekeepers so have grown up with all sorts of wildlife imaginable all my life, which has led to a deep understanding of it all.


I first became interested in photography about 15 years ago but with not much success. I then started to get out and about with a camcorder filming mainly deer which are really my main passion.

I then decided to give still photography another go, and slowly started to get results which really had a snowball effect. The better the results the more I learned and indeed wanted to learn.


I would never say that I am brilliant at taking photos but I would like to think I take good pictures with limited gear. I do not have the latest or the biggest or the best camera gear. But I do have gear that does the job and doesn't let me down.

But what I do rely on is a lot of field craft and knowledge of my subjects. And I also rely on a lot of luck! Anyone that does wildlife photography and say they don't need luck are either lying or spending all their time at a Zoo!
